Zahedi dates

Zahedi dates, also known as “Qasab dates,” are one of the popular date varieties produced in Iran. They have an elongated oval shape, tapering at the end to a pointed tip. In their ripening stages, they are brown during the “rotab” stage and transition to shades of red-brown and yellow as they reach full maturity. Zahedi dates are classified as dry dates, which gives them a low moisture content and an extended shelf life of up to three years without the need for refrigeration.

The natural sugar in Zahedi dates is primarily fructose, which does not spike blood sugar levels, making it suitable for people with diabetes and those on special diets. They are also rich in antioxidants and vitamins, including B1, B2, and C, as well as minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, potassium, and iron. The antioxidants in Zahedi dates are particularly beneficial for inhibiting the growth of cancer cells.
