Shahani dates

Shahani dates are a variety of dates organically produced in southern Iran. They have a distinct elongated shape, a soft texture, a narrow tip, and a light brown color. This variety is one of the most abundant types of dates grown in Fars Province and can be classified as relatively moist and syrupy. Shahani dates are highly nutritious and can be conveniently stored at room temperature, though refrigeration is recommended for longer shelf life.

With their natural sweetness, appealing color, and high nutritional value, Shahani dates have various applications in the food industry. Due to their natural sugars, they are also safe for diabetic patients to consume. These dates are rich in antioxidants, various vitamins (such as vitamin E), fiber, and essential minerals, including magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, and iron, making them beneficial for individuals with nutrient deficiencies. A significant portion of Shahani date production is also exported to other countries.
